The definition and idea of the typical “California” home has gotten a facelift, with homes like the Point Dume Residence in Malibu California, by Griffin Enright Architects, the “California” style home is modern, contemporary, and blend/enhance the landscape around it. Malibu certainly isn’t a shabby area to live in, and the Point Dume residence captures it’s beauty- with panoramic views, facing towards the Pacific Ocean and rolling hills. 

The setting of the home explores space, and fluidity between design and nature. The large balconies overlooking the fire pit, laid within the concrete is perfect for overlooking your guests when you’re entertaining in the summer and want to sneak away to bask in the glorious home you live in. That is if you end up living here….hey, residents- can I just borrow your home for one really rockin’ summer BBQ?! Alright, I can admire from afar- two thumbs up for this one. Any home with a view of the ocean, nestled away in the serene Malibu hills is going to get an A+ in my book.
