Jaguar's Jet-Powered Supercar - Jaguar C-X75

The slick-looking Jaguar C-X75 with its gas turbinesgoes where few road-going cars have gone before.
Without a doubt, the JaguarC-X75 concept is a contender for car of the show at the Paris Motor Show.Revealed the night before the show's doors opened at an exclusive VIP previewevent, this slick ride's beauty pales only in comparison with its technology.Sure, range-extender hybrids can be found in every corner of the show floor. But ones that'll hit 205 mph with batteries charged by gas turbines? We thinknot.
Jet-Powered? Yes, this stunning supercar concept is jet-powered,complete with "Beware of Blast" stickers on its exhaust pipes. Theturbines generate power for four wheel-mounted electric motors and develop atotal of 780 horsepower.
Inspired by racingJags like the one-of-a-kind XJ13, the C-X75 will sprint from zero to 62 mph injust 3.4 seconds. It can also travel 68 miles on pure electric power or 560miles with the assistance of its two turbine engines.
A staggering 1,180 lb-ft of instantaneouselectrically generated torque means blistering acceleration. Power to all fourwheels will be modulated with torque vectoring to ensure this never upsets thecar's balance.
