I love a girl with a great sense of humor and a heart made of smiles. “I laugh at everything,” says the oh so adorable Ashley Jeano. Someone once told Ashley she would go far. Now look. Here she is part of a revolutionary movement steeped in beauty, art, and culture. Oh and it don’t hurt to be sexy too. 

 

 In her early days Ashley was hanging on the block, playing with the neighborhood kids who all knew each other. Sadly enough she hasn’t kept in touch with none of her childhood friends. “We all went out our separate ways,” she admits. Most of her present friends have no idea she models. “I try to be modest, so I don’t go around telling all of them,” she tells me, “It’s like a secret almost… something I keep to myself.” 

“I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio,” says Ashley, of the city she’s from and still lives. “Where I live is a typical American suburban neighborhood. It’s quiet and peaceful yet it has the perks of a city at the same time. There are lots to do and see.” 

Like so many other models, growing up Ashley was “very shy and awkward.” And once again I find this hard to believe. Her photos are bold and sexy leaving no room for a shy girl. It was modeling that “gave me more confidence” she says. “I also became more open and outgoing. In my younger years, I did not have much self-esteem and did not think I was very attractive.”

Funny thing is, though she doesn’t run around telling all her friends that she models, it was a friend who initially suggested it. “A friend of mine begged me to do a bikini contest for a local radio station,” Ashley outlines. “I had never done any contests or modeling before, but after much convincing; I decided to give the contest a shot.  The winners of the contest would be put into a calendar.  I won, and I was Miss January.  I posted a couple of pics from the calendar, and photographers contacted me about shooting with them.”

“A beautiful, sunny day,” says Ashley about what motivates her. Balancing her career with her personal life is no problem. “Not at all, make time for time.”  Coworkers now and before would say she is hardworking and focused. “And silly of course!” So companies beware, Ashley will bring joy to your place of business. “I would like to work with swimwear companies and shot on a beautiful white sand beach.” While in college, Ashley ran track on a scholarship which makes her a little different from other models. “I competed in the 400 meter hurdles and sometimes competed in the Pentathlon,” she says.

Throughout my life I have been notorious for running around at all times of the night; a vampire if you will. Ashley is the same. “It may be a gift or a curse, but I am a total night owl.  I usually go to bed at around 5 am and wake up around 3 pm if I had my way.” Unlike Ash and vampires for that matter is I always pop up in the morning for a bit. Though I’m up all night… I hate waking up in the afternoon for the first time. 

Ashley confesses she can’t live without her makeup. “’I’m a total girly-girl.” And “gift cards to various places” is a great way to make her smile when you’ve made her upset. I can tell she would make a great addition to the HTM family with her “upbeat, energetic personality and fit physique.” Some people seem like staying fit is just a matter of genetics but not with Ashley. “Oh goodness, I work out a lot to be honest with you lol... and I also like to watch what I eat, though I do cheat on my diet from time to time.”

“I would like to see less damage to our earth, less pollution and more recycling,” says Ashley expressing her worldly desires. “We need to conserve our natural resources; we need to make sure this is a healthy place to live when our children grow up!” I’m all for it… camping, hiking, gardens, just getting back to nature but I need my iPod! 

When it’s time to shake loose and get a little partying done, I wanted to know where her favorite places were. “I like to party somewhat close to home; Cleveland Ohio has some fantastic and exciting bars and nightclubs.” If I were to offer a weekend getaway to unwind after working so hard for HTM, where would she like to go? “California,” Ashley answers excitedly. “Please send me there…” As you wish. 

“My Great Grandparents emigrated from Germany to the United States,” Ashley tells me about her roots.  “My (real) last name actually means "cold water" in German…  From my mother’s side also comes German and some Native American as well.” That said… it’s no longer a secret where a pretty girl got her looks and where those looks are going to take her. You go girl.
