A beautiful girl, flaws and all, can touch a certain part of you that has nothing to do with sexual desires. It strikes a chord in you that resemble love. But you know better. Too soon, too fast. Besides who believes in love at first site anymore. Maria Venus has that type of affect on those who are fortunate enough to see and hear her. She speaks with a voice as devoid of anything sinister as an innocent child. But I know better.

Its been a while since our chat but I still hear innocence when I think of how she spoke. Maria wasn’t so interested in my emailing questions to her inbox. She much preferred that we speak on the phone and like a kid being offered a surprise I reluctantly but happily agreed.  And so I called. And so she answered. Was that heaven on the other end of the line?

I catch her while she is making dinner, her four year old daughter assisting in the background. I picture harmony. “Balancing motherhood and modeling is not easy but it’s not too hard either,” she says as she manages to hold a conversation with me and address her daughter. “My daughter stays with her father on weekends and somehow I manage to get to sleep relatively early most nights.”

Seems to me like she is very much adept at handling her career and running her home. It is because of her modeling that I now have her on the phone. She in upstate New York, I in Southeast Pennsylvania.

I begin to imagine if this is how her time is spent when she isn’t working. A mother with a dedication to family that supersedes her unquestionable dedication to her modeling and career.

“To be successful in this industry requires one to be selfish and I would give it up for a big family.” – Maria Venus

Maria would gladly trade her career for the life of a soccer mom. She would readily give it up for a life of nightly family dinners, preparing school lunches, yearly family vacations, and a big back yard.

As far as modeling she has been at it for around 2 years. Acting is on her list of future goals, so you casting directors better get on your job before she answers another call. She feels she would make a great celebrity host as well. Professionally she is well liked and known to be very sweet, sexy and savvy.

When you see her you probably won’t know what to think immediately. Is she Latin or Phillipino? Her looks are chameleon like in that she is visually able to fit diverse cultural roles. Yes her hair is real. She is always asked about it so we have set the record straight. It’s all hers. Like mother like daughter. “My mother is hot too!”

There is something else that people notice about Maria besides her hair. Her body. A bikini body I think they call it. Amazing but so true, she hasn’t been to the gym in six months. Another surprise is that she eats all the time. Loves to eat and admits to eating better than she cooks but everyone still loves her food. Tonight she is making Pad Thai. A national dish in Thailand. Maria herself is half Thai and half Italian.

Maria has many looks when she is out and about. On a Sunday afternoon at the supermarket she is the epitome of a hot mom. Just as easy she can be seen on a Friday night in a sexy dress looking like the ultimate diva. “I love looking sexy as long I’m not being disrespected,” she says in the tiniest voice. Maria has no problem with all the attention that comes with sexiness just no silly comments like “You’re freaking hot ain’t you?”

Same as I she doesn’t believe in being fake. We both had to agree that nothing feels better than being yourself. Kindred Spirits. Point Of Rest.
