Excitement. We all look for it in our lives to a certain degree. For me boredom is paramount to death… an agonizing slow death. The sexy and vivacious Tanya Tate is a woman who may actually sympathize with this. “I was working in an office at a time in my life when I had ended a relationship,” Tanya tells me of what got her started in adult entertainment. “I was bored looking for something more exciting to add to my life.” This happens to so many of us and you’ll be surprised where you end up. “I was watching an adult movie with a guy and I thought I could do that. So off I went and done some research. I had some professional pictures taken and contacted some of the UK companies. Some invited me for an interview and casting. They liked what they saw. I shot my 1st movie October 2008. It went from there.”

 

  “Before I was involved in modeling I liked Viv Thomas movies, classy box covers with hot elegant babes,” she says of her influences. “Now my influences have expanded as I have worked alongside many more people and watched more scenes. Eva Angelina is pretty hot; I like her style and her movies. Veronica Hart is one of my all time favourites, and she is such a wonderful person.”

“[Before modeling] I used to work in an office in Manchester. The work was tedious and there was so much red tape. After I left I did go back and have a night out with my old work colleagues. At the time I had confided in one of my ex colleagues but no one else knew. Since then they have found me on websites, movies and on TV. I believe my former boss does know. I can just imagine him saying well done, good on you girl and just go for it. The boss above him would probably have a fit, so prim and proper, and possibly somewhat frustrated.”

Since Tanya is relatively new, I figure there are a few companies she would love to work with.“I would love to work on a feature movie with one of the big US production companies such as Hustler, Adam & Eve and Digital Playground.” 

 

 

Tanya is originally from Liverpool in the UK, “I now live on the outskirts of Manchester. It is a big city so has everything I need, shopping, bars, and restaurants. It is lively but not too busy. There is plenty to do. The best bit is being close to my family in North of England.”

I’m thinking, with our penchant for avoiding boredom at all costs, Tanya would be perfect to show me around the UK. “One of my favourite UK stores is Selfridges,” she says pointing out her favorite places to shop. “It is similar to Macys. They have a Selfridges store in a Shopping Mall in Manchester called Trafford Centre.  I am a quick shopper, I go when I need something. I will go into 2 or 3 shops or departments, I see what I am looking for try and buy. For something a little more special I sometimes get my dresses made from a local Manchester designer or buy from a boutique shop in Liverpool. My favourite High Street designer is Karen Millen, classy, sexy and tailored.” 

As much as I like to stay fashionable, I do enjoy a night out with good company. “I do enjoy hanging out with friends,” Tanya explains.  “My type of place is more of a wine bar or cocktail bar, with good music. When home in Manchester I love to party in Panacea, Circle Bar or Cloud 23. My favourite drink is Kir Royal or Strawberry Daiquiri.  In London I do eat out often. I like Thai, Malaysian and Italian food best.  London is great for partying and shopping. I like to spend time in Dublin, Ireland and have many a time partied in night clubs Lillie’s Bordello and Krystle. The Irish are such a friendly bunch of people. I do a lot of worldwide travelling so I get to do plenty of eating out, partying and shopping.”

 

 

 

There is something I really like about Tanya. “I am simply me, I am unique in myself. I say take me as you find me, most people take me.” That just what I do… take those I like as they are. 

Professionally Tanya is “really easy to work with and will do my best to give a good scene.”  “My life is my career,” she further informs me. “I find it hard to take time out away from my job. I have some real good friends in the industry so even when I take time off to spend with friends we usually come back to talking about sex and work. For friends outside my career it is difficult to balance. I have to plan time in my diary to meet up with them. Sometimes I get a call from a producer who wants to book me on my day off, and it can be hard to say no.”

“The thought that after years of hard work I will be able to take more of a back seat and reap the rewards,” Tanya says of what motivates her. “I love my job and I love making movies knowing my fans will watch and get turned on by watching me,” she confesses and I must confess that I too get turned from watching her work. “What more motivation would you need to go to work each day??” Tanya is admired for more than her sexy scenes. “My close friends see how hard I work. I think they admire my commitment, my professionalism and my ability to keep on going when the going gets tough.”

 

 

What is it about this adventurous woman could be considered a hidden treasure? “I can ride a big motorbike,” is her admission. “I passed my big bike test over 5 years ago. At the time I bought myself a brand new Suzuki SV650s. I added a rear hugger and belly pan so it looked like a mini sports bike. I ended up not riding it enough so I put it up for sale. With the profits I bought myself a pair of boobs. They were worth every penny.”

My goal is locate treasures from around the world. “All my family is from United Kingdom. I was born in Liverpool, England, very close to a small country called Wales. The surnames of my immediate family members all have English and Welsh origins. I support Liverpool football club and I love music by The Beatles. Although I no longer live in Liverpool I love going back home. The people are so friendly and down to earth. On a night out in Liverpool city centre there are so many gorgeous girls.  I am Liverpool born and bred; Liverpool will be where I always call home.”

For each of us there may be something we simply cannot live without. “My phone as I wouldn’t be able to text all my friends; closely followed by my computer,” she says is her lifeline. I live on my computer 24/7. First thing in the morning I switch it on and it even goes to bed with me. When I am not working on set I am always on my computer.  Whenever I travel it always comes with me.”

I had no choice; I had to know what she was like growing up. “Ha ha my mum would have told you a handful. I had lots of energy when I was young, I was always out playing. If my mum wanted to know where I was she would just stand outside the house and listen for my voice, apparently I had the loudest voice in my neighbourhood. I was clever at school and got good grades, but I did tend to talk a lot during class which upset a lot of the teachers. I was very independent and like to do a lot of my own things. I turned out to be a pretty well balanced person.”

Since becoming a model, “I tend to have less free time on my hands. I realize how important it is to keep fit, eat well and have good healthy lifestyle. It is hard to do this when a lot of time is spent working, but I always take time out to look after myself. The gym is now a necessity rather than a maybe,” Tanya makes known then adds, “I even have my own personal trainer now, something which was not really possible for me before. The most noticeable change is all the travelling I do. I love to see new places and meet new people. Occasionally I will to meet one of my fans and they are in awe of me. Seriously I am the same person I was before I started making movies, just a whole lot more confident.”

 

 

 

In our savage and beautiful world, altruistic ideals are relegated to eccentrics, but I;m sure we all have a little in us. What would Tanya like to see happen in this world of ours? “All war and terrorism to end, “she answers. “…and our armed forces to come home and end the fighting.”

“If I was on a romantic date,” Tanya begins her tale of what could go wrong on a romantic date. “Then I would like to look good for my date. The worse thing would be me to get all nervous and clumsy and spill red wine down my gorgeous white dress. Worse still to spill on my date with the same wine too. Or eating my dinner and slopping a load down myself, I never eat spaghetti bolognaise on a first date.” 

 

Tanya and I could very well become close friends, but what happens when I do something to make her upset with me? “If you bought me a brand new Porsche you would be forgiven for everything!!” she says and I get the feeling she would end up staying mad at me for some time.
